Welcome to Class 3- Year 3
Hello! My name is Miss Wells, and I am the teacher of Class 3, which includes children in both Year 3 and Year 4. Throughout the week, we are fortunate to be supported by Mr. Green and Mrs. Bond.
This half term, our topic is Why Do People Live Near Volcanoes? We’ll be exploring the fascinating structure of the Earth, the formation of mountains and volcanoes, and their significant impact on our planet.
The curriculum in Class 3 will continue to develop children's skills, knowledge, and understanding across all subjects. The core elements of their learning are centered around English, maths, science, and RE. Excellent progress in these areas will provide a strong foundation for development in other areas. You can find a copy of our weekly timetable below.
This year, some of our Year 3 children will also be preparing for the Sacrament of Reconciliation and the Eucharist (First Holy Communion).
I am very excited about the year ahead and look forward to collaborating with parents, carers, and our pupils to make this a truly special and memorable year at St. Mary’s.
